ANZAC (Australia New Zealand Army Corps) Day

Today I'd just like to have the opportunity to say Happy ANZAC Day to everyone, especially to our New Zealanders and Australians that died for us. "We will remember them" I said as reading through the news. I had remember to say that and I was lucky. You are amazing and YES we will remember you, gone but never forgotten. <3 Thank you for dying for us!! We appreciate it!! <3 Much love! "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:  Age shall not weary them, nor the year contcmn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning" WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM!

Holiday writing - Easter and Sister leaving!

Sister leaving to Aussie

HAPPY late EASTER!!

During this past week I have enjoyed it so far!! I have been with my family a lot and we have done some pretty fun stuff!! Le family and I have been doing stuff about 'Easter' and we included some other churches, it was a vast church all together! At first we all did a prayer together and then the kids left the adults so the parents can have a talk!

The kids were drawing and colouring! We had to get in order from youngest to oldest and yes had our own tables to sit at. This was a challenge to see who would have the nice one as in, not colouring out side of the lines and to colour the whole picture, we also had to explain what the picture shows but we had to write it in Samoan. My picture showed how "Jesus is on the cross and it is how he died for us" and that is what I wrote down.

As soon as the adults and kids finished there programs the kids had to get inside and show what we drew!! It was fantastic!! But as soon as this day came it wasn't as fun as the other days!! We drove to the airport at 4:30 so my older sister (Cecilia) could go to Australia. It was sad but not for her, and ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAYS!!

Empathy Movie

During this term we have been focusing on 'Empathy'. We had to make a Empathy animation showing what it means to me! Watch and see what Empathy is to me!

Term 1 Reflection 2014

This term has been the best and the only term that is awesome!! Big productions, awesome sports and right now my highlight for this term is Fiafia. It is big and it is only for the school which is for anyone to come.

In my writing I am sure that i have improved because I am in a higher group from last year and i’m on the top (because I’m year 7). That is my progress for this year, Writing.

I still need to work hard in my reading. Also, I always need to learn more words to use in my stories. I also need to get higher in my level of reading and get my brain ready for the my tasks ahead.

I’m most proud of my efforts to play sports. I love playing sports its one of my BEST hobbies, especially rugby and netball. I play for my school and I enjoy playing it with my friends!!

My 3 main goals for Term 2 will be NO talking when the teacher is talking, learn new words by reading, reading and reading!! Also, trying hard for what I am going for or what I sign up for!!

Fiafia Reflection

FIAFIA REFLECTION

I was enjoying our big production, Fiafia and so far until we were going toward the stage. My face had a nervous reaction. There were a vast crowd to look at but I was keen enough just for our performance, the Samoan group.

If you came along you would've seen what we did but we had to act our finest and smile all the time. I was in the Samoan group and we had a long performance. We started off with welcoming our people and then the girls finished dancing.

Along came the boys and they were LOUD!! They did the haka so loud so they could make their leader proud. Off they went back to their spot and Rowana came on looking nice. She had a fala on and she dance by herself in the middle!! Rowana then finished, we all stood up and shouted “Tofa......Soifua..Samoa”!!

My highlights was performing and watching the groups do their best with the kaha, passion and pride!! So far to the Samoans performance the best enforcement I saw was the Hip hop - they had the strength and strong moves.

We held it at our school on the field and our dance/siva was on a big stage. The music was loud and some of the kids had to blast the loudest so the crowd at the back can hear!!

Sadly it came to an end to go get changed and hurry home. I enjoyed having to be in the “Samoan” group it was fun and we practised really hard.

Also a HUGE THANK YOU to Timmy and Mose for teaching our Samoan group!! We performed our best for you to make you proud!! Bless you too Mrs Nua, you helped us really well, getting us to listen and standing in the right spot!!

The Very Hairy Which

Once upon a time, there lived a very hairy witch. She lived in the forest. The witch was really talented that she could write stories with her eyes and move things with her hand without touching it. But, the problem was she was too hairy that everyone just couldn't stand looking at her. The witch needed support so she went back to the tree that she lived in and took some of her mental pills. She then went around the village apologizing because she then felt sad for them and then the ladies gave her a makeover to look a bit lovelier.
