Swimming poem

Walking away from our school,
we went off to the GI pools.

Putting on my black and blue togs,
I jumped like a big green frog.

The pools was filled with water
we saw a lady’s daughter.

Swimming with my two arms.
I was really super calm.

As I folded the tissues, it was difficult to do but they were all strewn on the floor .

When I was painting my petals, the water was dirty so we washed it out.

finally it was starting to dry up.

About my Holiday

During the Holiday we have been staying at our uncles and aunties place. Staying there was so fun, because we got to stay with our two aunties and our Papa and Nana. We went there to take care of the house so it stays safe while my aunty and uncle gos to Wellington. Doing chores was the thing we done the most of the time. After doing fun chores, we played in the hose. Our aunties have been spaying us with it. We loved it because we got to slide a lot of times on the tarpaulin.WE LOVED THE HOLIDAYS.

First Day of the Holidays

On the last day of school I was so happy. I had been reading books yesterday, and I read a book when I woke up in the morning. Reading books is really important to me. It is important because I need to be good at reading and answering the questions. As I get back to school in term 2 I think I will get better. I am learning to read with my sisters. My older sister Cecilia has asked me questions if I had finished reading one whole chapter.

Camp

Kayaking

On the first day of camp we were doing Top Team and Kayaking. I liked kayaking because I liked getting wet. The funniest part was how I fell out and My partner was still sitting on the boat hanging her legs out and laughing. We struggled kayaking because it was our first time doing it.

Lagoon
On the last day of camp we went to the Lagoon pools. Going into the pools I was shivering cold. We went two teams at the same time on the hydro slide. It was dark as we slid down it. As I got out I thought the water was going to be kind of deep but it was not. Jordenne and I went to the fountain park after the hydro slide. It was so fun.

Camp Day 1

First day at camp and I love it!!! My best activity was Kayaking. Kayaking was my favorite one because it was funny. It was funny because I nearly fell out and I was about to drowned. I almost drowned because we were going the wrong way and the water nearly went above my head but Levi saved me.

This is a video of a ball that is rolling down a little rollercoaster. It was in a bag from 1990. A man got this from a long brake in finer-script in 91. Some people asked this man to film this in HD.

Ben Carson

On the 6th of March Pt England went to see Ben Carson. It was at Teltra Clear Pacific Event Center at Manukau.

Ben Carson told us all about his life and how he was really dumb when he was little and how his Mum told him to believe in himself.

Since Ben Carson obeyed his Mum and worked hard, he became a very famous neuro surgeon. He was the first man to spilt two babies joined at the head with both surviving. He is an amazing man! Against all odds he taught himself through reading, worked hard and turned his life around.

PENN

PENN stand for Pt England News Network. The year 5 were doing the news this week. Some classes make movies and Mrs Telea has to put it on the T.V. It connects with everybody in our school. 4 year 5's made the news this week and only 1 year 6 was on it for just 1 day. In the news is the main part, the sports notice, Pt England way and the U.V report. The part to end is called the main close.

I am a year 5 and I was on the news doing PENN. This week I was doing U.V report, whitch is talking about the weather. During this week it was just high on 12. Doing PENN is very fun to do. Before I started PENN I was very keen to do it.

Doing PENN is really fun to do but waking up early is the only part I hate. We have to wake up at 8' oclock. I like doing thing with Mrs Telea in the mornings. We help her because she it very busy sometimes. In the morning sometimes when we get late another person gets to do it for us. I only miss out 1 day so someone took over me.

Candy Dragon

In a market in China a highly skilled man melted sugar, and drew a dragon by dribbling it on to a non-stick paper. He kept the sugar hot and melted by continually stirring it over the fire. The sugar was golden and it looked like caramel. Peeling the dragon off with a stick, the audience were smiling.

Hippos Chasing the Boat

As the tourists enjoyed the morning boat ride, they were unaware of the danger in in the water below. Protecting their babies, the hippos chased the boat away. Dangerously, the hippo surged up beside the tourists boat.

Duffy show

Watching the Duffy show I laughed out loud, and I could not stop. My best character was Scruffy. My favorite part was how Scruffy pretended that Piri Weepu was playing rugby with him. Instead of everyday I’m shuffling, Scruffy said “everyday I’m Scruffiling.”I laughed hahaha. Asking my friends with a sigh I said “is the show finished yes said Jordenne. I replied back and said oh no. In my mind I said to my self they will come back next year to tell us a new story.

Frozen Canals in Amsterdam

Once in a land ice melts by the sun and children could not get to school. This is about a movie that a land has been frozen in about 15 years ago. They selled hot thing to keep them warm. The hot things was hot food and hot tea. One interesten thing is about canals of Amsterdam.

Cricket

Winning the game, I was filled with enthusiasm for next week.

Outside on the field, the grass was wet.

Powerfully I hit the ball as far as I could.

Holiday in Summer

Holidays has started. Hooray! I was looking forward to it. I went to the beach while sun was shining. It was a very good day to eat ice cream there. The flavour I had was strawberry. At the beach i was swimming. I made a big slash because I dived into the water. While swimming I made a sand castle.

After a nice sunny day at the beach we played games outside my Nana’s and Grandpa’s house while it was not raining. The games we played was none stop cricket, Lape and Baseball. I was so scared to play it because I did not know how. Once I played it I got better and better. My favorite game’s was all of it.

Next day I went to the sea. Everyone was so excited. We were talking about it and they were not packing. I said to my sisters less talking more packing. As soon we finished packing we went in the car and got ready to go. ZOOM! We were ready to go. As soon we got there I went for a change and got ready to swim again. I was making a trail to slide from the sand into the water. I slide on it and I made a big splash. We finish swimming then we went for a shower. My day was over at the sea. I had a lot of fun there.

Day 4 was raining and I went outside to play in it. There was a big puddle and I went and splashed in it. I wet my Sister and she got angry so then I said sorry. We played tiggy after that. I was in and I chased after my little sister then I slipped and they were laughing then they helped me to get up. I tagged them as soon as they picked me up. I liked that day but it ended.

Again that day was sunny like day 1 day 2 day 3 but it rain on day 4. We stayed inside and played BINGO. The person who was calling the letter and number was me. We played for money. I earned money because that how you play. I had 6$. I wish that day would never end but it did.

On day six I was very tired because I slept at 1:30. I woke up at 9:48 in the morning. I still wanted to sleep while I was eating. My Sisters thought I was about to cry because I yawned. In the afternoon I went for another sleep. I liked sleeping so I can grow taller and I kind of did. Then at night we watch a video and it was cool. As soon as it got to the amazing part of the video It said to be continued. That night I slept early so I could wake up early then I did.

My first day in year 5

Hi, This is my first day at school being a year 5!
